I am old enough to remember my mother disparaging the idea of 'sets'
as 'stunting' to children's imaginations (not that she ever bought us

and pieces and can turn into hours and hours (and hours) of

Star Wars or Alien Conquest set and he will then take a 10# bag of
random pieces off (an online auction house) and build an enormous fleet
of ships to involve in his scenarios.
His current favorites are
the Alien Conquest and now the Harbour set (to which he added the Police
Boat as well). The sets are intricate enough to be challenging (though
he now does them on his own), and interesting enough he can play for A
Really Long Time. Using that imagination my mother was so worried
about...
I highly recommend the Harbour set--one of many Legos to

i paid for this set with my birtday money let me say i will not regret
it.it comes with 5 minifigures a nice boat and a sort of wind surfing
deal.inside there is a shop with flippers and a scoba tank then outside
there are 2 lifevests hanging on a ladder.then above the shop is a
paradice cafe with a table,umbrella,2 seats,and a cofee maker.on the
other side there is sort of a lifegaurd stand.
